Whether you are a pregnant woman considering making an adoption plan for your child or a couple hoping to adopt, I can assist you through this emotional process. I tailor my doula services to meet your needs and with compassionate support. As an adoptive mother myself, I have tremendous respect for birthmothers and a deep understanding of the emotional nature of the experience for all three members of the adoption triad- the birthmother, the adoptive parents, and the child.

This is an incredibly emotional and challenging time for you. In addition to the labor and birth doula services I provide for women giving birth, I am also pleased to offer private childbirth classes and the support you need to make the decision that is right for you. My support is given graciously, without judgment, and regardless of the ultimate decision you make- for an adoption plan or to parent your child.
Whether you are invited to be in the room with the birthing mother as the child is born or if you are waiting halfway around the world to meet your baby, I am able to provide emotional support and compassionate knowledge about the adoption process and the feelings experienced in the process. I am pleased to offer private adoptive parenting classes to cover such topics as newborn care, feeding, and cues in an environment which may be more comfortable than a traditional class for pregnant and expecting couples. In addition, we will explore parenting topics particular to adoption such as bonding, older child care, and issues related to international adoption, when appropriate.
