Compassionate Care and Support

The postpartum period (the 4th Trimester) is a time of great joy and also learning and growth in the new family. I am happy to provide a variety of postpartum services at an hourly rate of $20-25.

Duties in the postpartum package can include:

• Breastfeeding Counseling/Latch And Positioning Help

• Understanding Baby Cues

• Diapering and Baby Care 

• Sibling Support

• Light Housekeeping

• Errands

• Resources & Referrals (massage, acupuncture, support groups, pediatric chiropractors, green baby goods,
  etc.)

• Non judgmental support for family. Organize the home and nursery. Take care of baby’s laundry

• Screen for postpartum mood disorders

• Sleeping solutions and how to get enough sleep in the first weeks

• Help create a nurturing & quiet environment for the family

• Assist the family by organizing offers of help from friends and extended family to create a structured
  flow of help

• Care for baby when parents want to shower, nap, or spend some special time with older child(ren)

• Hands-on education for care of mother and baby

• Prepare pump supplies or bottles

• Babywearing assistance, education, and demonstrations

• Caring for mother as she recovers from birth

• Processing the birth experience

• Techniques for soothing baby

First Week Home – Postpartum Package

Three examples of first week care:

1. 10hrs = three 3-hour visits + 1 hour of home evaluation/assistance

2. 10hrs = two 4-hour shifts + a 2 hour check-in at week’s end to address any additional needs

3. 10hrs = one 9-hour night-time shift +1 hour home evaluation

Day Support – Postpartum Package: $200/ten hours

Night Support – Postpartum Package: $225/ten hours

Ala Cart Postpartum Doula services are $25/hour.

Rates are subject to change in case of multiples. 

The family always has the opportunity to purchase an extension of hours based on their needs and the my availability.
Half of the total fee for a package is due at the time of hire. This is a non refundable deposit which will hold my schedule open for you. The other 1/2 is due after the baby is born.
